Regular Meetings

Regular in-person meetings enable the NWMB to formally carry out the duties and responsibilities assigned to it in the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, and to enhance public understanding of the NWMB and its activities.

Generally, four meetings are held each year. The meetings are located in Nunavut rotating through the regions and communities.

NWMB meetings are open to the public. You do not need to be a board member to attend. The public is welcome to observe and participate.

Conference Calls

Conference calls are held to supplement regular meetings and to facilitate timely decision making.

Special Meetings

Special meetings are non-regular meetings held for in-person discussions of a specific topic or issue whenever circumstances warrant.
