Moved that a Finance and Administration
Subcommittee be appointed, consisting of Andy Theriault, Malachi Arreak,
and Ben Kovic, and said committee is charged with reviewing the proposed
budget ending March 31,1994. Also to review the budget and settle upon
a figure not to exceed the amount of $636,495 and finally, to seek
agreement with the Federal Government.

Whereas the Nunavut Land Claim Implementation Panel has requested the NWMB
to provide direction on the handling and investment of funds set aside
for and known as the Nunavut Wildlife Research Fund and the Inuit Bowhead
Knowledge Study presently held in Trust by the firm of Nelligan-Power and
whereas:
The amount of $11,500,000 (plus interest accumulated to date) previously
invested for a period of time should, following consideration by the NWMB,
be reinvested for a period of 60 days.
Therefore the following Resolutions is submitted:

Moved that the NWMB directs that the
funds presently held by the firm of Nelligan-Power (holding in trust)
be further reinvested for a period of 60 days (February - March, 1994
period), and further;
That the documentation and confirmation of this undertaking be provided
to the NWMB on completion of the necessary administrative and financial
requirements.
